The National Federation of the Blind of Illinois Chicago Chapter will hold
it's monthly meeting on Saturday, December 14, 2013 beginning at 12:00 P.M.
(noon.)

 

Following the general business meeting, we will have our annual Christmas
auction.  For those of us who have been around awhile, this is one of our
most popular activities from year to year.  In order to asure the success of
this activity, we are looking for items in good condition which may be
purchased by those in attendence.  Baked goods are always very popular at
this event, so if you wish to submit a baked item for which you might be
famous, it will no doubt serve us well.

 

an example of a prize which one may bid on this year is a baseball
autographed by Erney Banks, along with a certificate of authenticity.  As
you prepare to bid on this item, remember that you are getting a special
momento from a Chicago icon who is known for many things, including his
modicker, Mr. Cub, his status as a baseball hall of famer and by his receipt
of a presidential Medal of Freedom.

 

So come one and all, display your time, talents and treasures, and insure
yourself a Merry Christmas for the effort.  All proceeds from this auction
will benefit the National Federation of the Blind of Illinois Chicago
