Rob,

Is your daughter's teacher a government employee? If not, is her
private school funded by the government?  If yes to either of these
questions, she has a legal obligation to provide information to you as
a parent in an accessible format that you can read.  Consider
informing the teacher of your disability and how she could communicate
with you in an effective manner.

Teachers in private schools also have an obligation to communicate
effectively with people with disabilities.  The obligation is not as
strong though.
