Hi Linda

Congratulations on you continuing to push your personal envelope.

A tip: back in the day before I got some blindness training, if I went
walking out in the small environs I felt comfortable in, I'd leave a radio
on in my garage. If my then limited cane skills didn't get me back home, my
ears could always pick up the radio.

Subject: [il-talk] Helped my husband out of bed alone!

Hi Federation Family! Just wanted to share that since the weather was so
cold today, no Caregiver was able to come and help me with my husband today,
or yesterday! Yesterday, he just stayed in bed. But today he wanted to get
up and out of bed! I was very reluctant to try to do it. But, I gave it a
shot! I dressed him, and was able to get him into his Chair. Had to adjust
him, but I did it! Hope I don’t have to tomorrow, because I’m exhausted!
Not as young as I used to be! Not to mention that my husband has gotten
weaker. Also, I went to throw out the garbage, and got confused to where
I was supposed to get back to my garage. Thank God that I found the garage
before I got to cold! Actually, I was very cold, but no frostbit! Just
wanted to share! Thanks! Sincerely, Linda
