[il-talk] Helped my husband out of bed alone!

Actually Debbie, I used to do this for almost 3 years, when my husband first
came out of the hospital back in 2005 of Jan, till Oct. of 2007! I had
already lost my sight, and he had more strength then too! But as time
went on, we knew we needed some help in here! So this wasn't new to me, but
being that my husband is like dead weight now, it was much harder than years
ago. Thanks! Sincerely, Linda

Dear Linda,

Congratulations on accomplishing something you haven't done before! It is
always empowering to discover one's strengths and capabilities. I hope the
caregiver is able to get through tomorrow!

Debbie

Hi Federation Family! Just wanted to share that since the weather was so
cold today, no Caregiver was able to come and help me with my husband today,
or yesterday! Yesterday, he just stayed in bed. But today he wanted to get
up and out of bed! I was very reluctant to try to do it. But, I gave it a
shot! I dressed him, and was able to get him into his Chair. Had to adjust
him, but I did it! Hope I don’t have to tomorrow, because I’m exhausted!
Not as young as I used to be! Not to mention that my husband has gotten
weaker. Also, I went to throw out the garbage, and got confused to where
I was supposed to get back to my garage. Thank God that I found the garage
before I got to cold! Actually, I was very cold, but no frostbit! Just
wanted to share! Thanks! Sincerely, Linda
