[il-talk] update on my dad

Hello federation family.  I just wanted to give you all an update on my dad
since the last time.  Although his heart and lungs are fine, he is getting
weaker and his dementia is getting worse.  He can still talk but he's not
making much sense.  He can walk with a walker but is very unsteady. When he
went to the doctor today, the doctor told my mom to just keep him
comfortable and there's nothing more medically that can be done for him.
Whenever I hear the phrase, keep him comfortable, I think although the end
is not here yet, it's coming.  Nobody knows when that will be.  The best
thing my family and me can do is enjoy him while he's still around.  My mom
finally got a caregiver to help and that's a big step for her.  Thanks in
advance for any support.  I'll keep everyone posted.
