Hi folks, I wanted to remind the PR committee that we will have a brief
introductory meeting tonight. as the new Cochairs, Jesse Rogers and I are
looking forward to getting to know you guys. Also, this meeting is open to
anyone who would like, and if you are interested in joining the PR
committee, and being one of us spreading the word of all the exciting
things the NFB is doing, please let me and President Denise Avant know.

A rough agenda for tonight is:

We’ll introduce ourselves

Talk about what ways we can stay in touch with eachother:

Phone, text, email, social media,

…and ways to stay in the loop about what’s going on in the NFB:

IL-Talk, Braille Monitor, newsline etc.

And we’ll talk about several major activities of the Federation that we’ll
be promoting in the immediate future (some more formally, others we can be
personally aware of and spread buzz about), including,

Washington Seminar—sharing info as it happens, but also remind people to
continually follow up (especially as a crucial moment comes)

Spring Seminar

Bell (Chicago and Springfield)

State and National Scholarships (we need students, it’s simple as pie,
apply)

Of Course, National Convention—this is our big 75th, plus IL is one of the
original 7 states who are sharing the honor of hosting the National
Convention.

Fundraisers: which we’ll have more detail about soon, but we still have T
Shirts we’ll sell at Washington Seminar and Spring Seminar, plus
Certificates all the time.

And more.
