Subject: NAPVI Conference - Please Share!

Hi Patti,

You may remember that The Chicago Lighthouse is hosting the National Association of Parents of Children with Visual Impairments (NAPVI) for its 2015 National Family Conference coming up next weekend July 10-12. Several UIC ophthalmologists will be prominently featured in a panel discussion on various eye conditions on Saturday morning of the conference, including Drs. Azar, Curnyn, Leiderman, Maumenee, and Traish. Dr. David Gamm from UW-Madison will present a short lecture on the application of stem cells for treatment of various retinal diseases. In addition, Dr. Fishman of our Pangere Center for Inherited Retinal Diseases will offer a keynote address and will moderate the eye condition panel. The program features 30+ additional sessions over the course of the weekend on topics ranging from adaptive sports to literacy and everything in between. We have an impressive lineup of speakers and presenters, as well as exhibitors who will share products and resources. More information on the conference can be found in the announcement below or at the following link: http://us4.campaign-archive2.com/?u=1b4b11f7569e46eedc362f12f&id=b70c4b3be6&e=81eca32ba0

We still have several registration openings and want to ensure that those who will benefit from this conference are able to attend. Therefore, we are offering free registration to friends and families of The Chicago Lighthouse. We invite you to share this information with staff, patients, and families in your network so that they too can enjoy free registration. Instructions to RSVP to Rana Marks (Rana.Marks at ChicagoLighthouse.org or 312.997.3651) are included in the announcement below.

Thank you in advance for sharing this information. We look forward to hosting this educational event and hope those in your network will benefit from attending. I appreciate your help.

Best,

Janet
