[il-talk] Question about DTB player?

Hello Linda,

The NLS player will look to whatever is on the cartridge first if it is
inserted. Make sure to remove the cartridge if you want to play what's
on the thumb drive. I actually insert my thumb drives carefully down
the middle of the cartridge hole, though that is not necessary.

The player is designed to play primarily Daisy or NLS Talking Books that
are in audio format. It will not play Daisy text books such as those
from Bookshare. It is best if each book is in its own folder on the
thumb drive.

It is possible to play music or podcasts on an NLS player. Those files
must be placed in a folder called "audio+podcasts" and will show up in a
book called "audio files".

Hope this helps.

Cordially,
Bill

> Good morning Federation family! I was just wondering if there’s a button or something that will change the player from a cartridge book player to the thumb drive player? It sounds strange, but, I had a thumb drive I wanted to play, and when I insurted it in the player, it said there was no book! I was sure I had certain things on it that I know didn’t get deleted or anything! Any advice would be appreciated! Sincerely, Linda
