I have some additional information about alternate service, while CTA
refurbishes these elevators.

 

Western/Milwaukee:  Using elevators at this location, passengers will not be
able to reach the bridge to and from the northwestbound platform.
Therefore, take 56 Milwaukee bus to and from Logan Square subway station
which has elevators.

 

Jackson/Dearborn:  Use the elevator at the State Street end of the hallway
connecting the mezzanines of these subway stations.

Hello Everyone:

 

Please note the following information from CTA's Elevator/Escalator
Maintenance Department.

 

The next Elevators that will be taken out of service will be:

 

*       The Western Blue Line Southbound (SB) elevator, Mezzanine to
Platform to Bridge will be taken out of service on Tuesday May 10th, 2016.
The estimated completion date is Wednesday May 25th, 2016.

*       The Jackson Blue Line (Street to Mezzanine) elevator will be taken
out of service on Thursday May 12, 2016. The estimated completion date is
Friday May 27th, 2016.
