[il-talk] trying new things with Michael

Hi all. I wanted to write about something I did yesterday  with Michael for the first time. Yesterday  morning, Gerry and I took Michael to his Catholic family time. we took Uber there and then Andy picked us up. The whole thing went very well from the right there through the entire class. when it came time to do the craft, I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to help Michael with it until I first felt the finished product. One of the teachers observed Michael to make sure that he was putting everything together OK and I got to help a little bit with the craft. By seeing what it looked like altogether, I knew right where stuff went and what part I wanted to help with. we were also given some handouts which I was able to read by snapping a picture of them with the K NFB reader app for iPhone. that's a really useful app or if you have to read handouts right on the spot. this was the first time I ever took him to Catholic family time on my own and I look forward to doing it with him again in the future. it really went well and I'm so glad that I decided to give this a try.did well with the craft and let me see it when he was all finished.
