We're almost there! Below, please find the latest copied from the ILGA.gov

5/15/2017
Senate
Placed on Calendar Order of 3rd Reading May 16, 2017

Tomorrow, the final vote will be taken. I have no idea what time, and can't
be there in any event. Given the Judiciary Committee's unanimous support, I
hope this legislation will be favorably considered and enacted this session!
All filed witness slips, including one by Ray Campbell of the Illinois
Council of the Blind, recommended passage.

Thank you all members of the Legislative committee and others who helped
identify and secure sponsors, contacted their respective senators and
representatives, completed Witness Slips through what was originally a
daunting process, and otherwise put us on the road not only to passing this
important legislation, but also reestablishing the NFBI's relationship with
the Illinois Legislature. This legislation is crucial if we are to
effectively propose or oppose legislation that enhances or would restrict
the independence of the blind.

Cordially,

Bill
