If you are a member or friend of the NFBI Chicago Chapter, you have a
win/win opportunity this coming Saturday, November 11. By taking part in the
Chicago Read-a-Thon at the Exchequer Pub and Restaurant, 226 S. Wabash in
Chicago, you can enjoy an afternoon of reading while raising money to
support the chapter's projects and initiatives. 

 

How does the Read-a-Thon work? Invite your friends, relations, neighbors,
and coworkers to pledge or contribute any amount they choose, and commit to
read a given number of pages in return. There are no forms to fill out, no
tickets to sell. If you aren't able to collect pledges, bring a minimum $10
contribution to pay at the door. Then sit down and read in whatever format
suits you best. We will read from 1 to 4 PM, so bring that novel you haven't
had time to start, or the memoir you've been enjoying so much, or the
treatise you've been assigned in your economics course. Magazines,
newspapers, even sports schedules count! 

 

In past years the Read-a-Thon has been one of the chapter's most successful
fundraisers. Let's break our past record with a strong turnout and hundreds
of pages read! See you Saturday!
