Thursday, October 19, 2017

10:00 am to 12:00 pm

This workshop provides support and problem-solving strategies for parents with vision loss raising sighted children. Our discussion centers on managing responsibilities, keeping a child safe and ensuring a positive self-image for both child and parent.

This is the first of a three-part series. At a later meeting, children old enough to join the discussion are invited to give their view on how vision loss has impacted their life.

GDF guide dog mobility instructors also share information on the skills and requirements to become a guide dog handler.
