 Hello Everyone,

Tomorrow night will represent a climax of activity for this holiday season
as celebrate the passing of one year and the beginning of another.

If you are like me, the festive feeling of celebration will be gone around
January 4 or so with the feeling being replaced by one of wondering about
what there might be to do to help me stay happy.

Thanks to the Chicago Chapter, neither me nor you need to worry about this
situation anymore.

A Night to Remember, (Games Night), will occur on Saturday, January 11 at
Exchequer Pub and Restaurant, the site for our chapter meeting. In fact,
this event will occur immediately after the Chapter nmeeting. Besides having
fun, you will help to raise funds for the Chicago Chapter. The cost for this
event will be $25. So, what exactly do you get for that price? Unlimited
pizza, salad and soda, complements of Exchequer. Additionally, you get a
chance to associate with friends from the Chicago Chapter. So, bring your
favorite games. If you are not a game player, bring a favorite story or two,
so that you might entertain the rest of us.

As I need to turn in a count to Exchequer by January 8, I am asking that you
respond no later than January 7 if you plan to attend.

Like Earnest and Julio Gallo, I appreciate your support for the Chicago
Chapter. Let us all band together andmake this a night to remember.

David Meyer, NFB of Illinois

Coordinator and Channel Administrator, NFB-NewsLine

Chicago Chapter President
