Hi Linda,

Glad you were able to get your computer working again. I find it amazing 
that JAWS doesn't automatically unmute your computer when it's run. I 
know that NVDA will do that for you when it's run or restarted. There 
should be an unmute key even on your laptop you will want to note the 
position of in case this should happen again.
