[IL-Talk] Movie Audio Description

Hi all,

 

I have been enjoying audio description at my local AMC theater in Oak Park.
The problem is that the headphones don't work consistently.  They have a
three-position switch, off, one channel for the movie, and the other channel
for the audio description track.  When they work, I get both the movie and
the audio description on one channel.  Most of the time when they don't
work, I have to choose between the audio description track and the movie.
Does anyone happen to know why there is a discrepancy?  I spoke to the
manager and she claimed that all movies have separate tracks.  She wouldn't
believe me when I told her that for some movies, I could get both the sound
output for the movie, and the audio description at the same time.

 

I hope someone can help.
