[IL-Talk] Stakeholder Meeting Powerpoint & City Official's Reply

Dear Members,

I wanted to share two things with you this evening regarding the Chicago
Chapter Legislative Committee's work to ensure that any and all scooter
programs in the City of Chicago follow the guidelines spelled out in our
resolution.

We received the following response from Sean Wiedel, the Assistant
Commissioner of Citywide Services for the City of
Chicago's Department of Transportation:

"Thanks to you and the NFB for your input on the scooter pilot.  We will
add your comments and concerns to our list of amendments to a shared
scooter program, should they continue in Chicago.  This pilot was the last
under the current permit program; any future shared scooter program will
require us to go to City Council for approval.



For the meeting tomorrow, I will share out the PowerPoint this afternoon so
that folks who use screen readers can review it in advance. We have
generally allowed attendees to make verbal comments so there shouldn’t be
any issues with the chat function."


Secondly, attached to this email is the powerpoint he mentions sending for
our review prior to tomorrow's meeting.
