Good Afternoon:

Please see below regarding information about construction for the Red
& Purple Modernization RPM Project.
Dates: Monday, March 1 to Friday, March 19, 2021

Location

  *   The alley west of 4800-4848 N. Winthrop Avenue
  *   The alley east of 4801-4833 N. Broadway

Work Hours: 7am - 5pm

Work Activity: Embankment Wall Tiebacks Installation

Local Impact

  *   The alley will be intermittently blocked during stated work hours
  *   Delivery access will be maintained
  *   Garbage pickup will be maintained
  *   There will be noise while work is being performed. Noise will include:
     *   General construction noise
     *   Beeping for backup alarms on maintenance equipment and vehicles


We are continuing construction on the Red and Purple Modernization
(RPM) Phase One project to rebuild our 100-year-old rail
infrastructure and improve transit service. Work will be performed
that will affect your community and create inconveniences. We are
committed to doing our best to minimize the impact of our work and
will continue to keep you updated throughout the project.
