[IL-Talk] IABS' Student Excellence Award Deadline Extended!

If you missed the September 25th deadline to nominate a student for the
IABS Student of Excellence award, you're in luck! We are extending the
deadline to Saturday, October 1st.

To qualify, a nominee:
must be a blind or low-vision student,
in grades 6 through 11,
in an Illinois school (yes, including ISVI, private schools, etc).
Nominations are considered on the basis of excellence in academics,
leadership and community service.

Nomination forms are available at
https://www.nfbofillinois.org/iabs-excellence-award.
Winners will receive a certificate of recognition and gift card and be
recognized during the IABS Luncheon October 29th. They will also be
eligible for financial assistance for accommodations and meals at NFBI
State convention; October 28-30  (details and registration at:
https://www.nfbofillinois.org/convention).
Nominations will be accepted if received by the end of Saturday, October
1st, 2022.
