[IL-Talk] Chicago Chapter Hybrid Meeting and Board Meeting and Other Exciting NFB Events

Hello All,

The next Chicago hybrid Chapter meeting will be on September 9, 2023. We
will have a board meeting at 11:30 AM, and the regular meeting will follow
at 1 PM. The in-person meeting will take place at Exchequer Restaurant and
Pub, 226 S. Wabash, Chicago Illinois and over Zoom.

The Zoom information will follow this announcement. All are welcome to
attend.

Also please take note of the following:

Presidential Release Live - Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 6-9 PM at
Exchequer. Please join us and meet Mark Riccobono, President, National
Federation of the Blind. We will have complementary pizza, salad and soft
drinks. Donations to the National Federation of the Blind are appreciated.

Ride for Literacy - Friday, September 8 at 9:00 AM at the Art Institute
and/or on the 9th floor of the Harold Washington Library Center at 9:30 PM.

Come meet and cheer on Dan O'Rourke as he finishes his 2,700-mile journey
along Route 66. You'll hear from leaders of the organized blind movement,
meet other organizations serving the blind community, enjoy refreshments
while connecting with members, and learn about Braille and other reading
resources for blind and low-vision people. Please RSVP by August 31, 2023,
to Rachel Held at rheld at nfb.org <mailto:rheld at nfb.org>  and let us know who
is coming.
