While the Illinois General Assembly is still working on providing new transit funding to northeastern Illinois, for now, no changes to Pace service for 2025 have been proposed.

Thank you to those riders who contacted their elected officials in support of funding for public transit. Pace will continue to work with legislators and stakeholders to secure the resources needed for a robust, reliable, and accessible transit system.

If there are to be any changes in Pace service in the future, there will be a public process through which everyone will have the chance to provide input on any proposed changes. We will keep riders and stakeholders informed as we work on a proposed budget for 2026, with hope that additional funding will be secured later this year.
