An Important Message for National Library Service My Talking Books Alexa
Skill Users

If the government shut down continues past November 1, the My Talking Books
Alexa Skill will be temporarily taken off line. You will not be able to
access any materials from the site. At such a time that the government
reopens, it will take some time to restore the site. You may have received
this important message from BARD when opening your BARD app yesterday.



We recommend all NLS BARD users stock up on book downloads on your device
before Saturday, November 1  in case there is any disruption in BARD
access. This will ensure you have a local library of books to listen to on
your devices.
