[IL-Talk] Important Note for Those Of You Who Have Filed Witness Slips with the Illinois Legislature

Hello NFBI Friends:

 

This message is for anyone who in the past has created an account at
my.ilga.gov for filing witness slips or who has tracked legislation using My
Legislation at www.ilga.gov <http://www.ilga.gov> .  The State has changed
my.ilga.gov to combine accounts for tracking legislation and filing witness
slips.  This means, however, you'll need to create a new account at
my.ilga.gov.  One other disturbing note, they've put the AccessiBe overlay
on this site, and they have a virtual assistant that I personally find
annoying.

 

Here's how to create the account:

1.	Go to my.ilga.gov.
2.	Navigate to and click the Log In link.
3.	Navigate to the register button and activate it.  Put in your email
address and a password.  You'll also need to check a box for RECaptcha.
Navigate to the I believe Create Registration button and activate it.
4.	You'll be emailed a 5 digit confirmation code.  Find that code in
your email, then, enter your email address and the 5 digit code in the
fields for these and navigate to the confirm registration button and
activate it.
5.	You'll come back to the login screen.  Enter your email address and
password, check the Recaptcha box and activate the login button.

 

You are now in your account.  You have edit fields to put in your name and
address information and save it; this will help you in creating witness
slips.
