Hello all!

A few updates, I reached back out to the RTA and they had an update on
communication. As of right now if you need help to apply for the 10 ride
increase on RAP/TAP please reach out to that original phone number I
sent, (312)
913-3110. That being said, if you applied for the ride increase and do not
yet have it or for any questions about the increase please reach out to (800)
606-1282.

Additionally, if you are a TAP user please be aware that the Taxi Fuel
Surcharge officially ended on June 23. Therefore if one of your driver's
attempts to ask for those funds or says you owe them please report it to
311 immediately and if you have a chance also let our chapter know.
Standard surcharges like an extra passenger remain and more information on
all of this can be found at the city's website here:
https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/bacp/provdrs/vehic/svcs/ridesmartchicago.html
.

Your Chicago Chapter Advocacy Committee will continue to advocate for
additional rides as well as funding increases to cover each ride and have
confirmation that there are plans to address both of these issues as the
new Northern Illinois Transit Authority begins to take shape.

Thanks,
Kira
Chicago Chapter Advocacy Committee Chair
