[Jayhawk-chapter] nuts sales, iowa

Not sure what you are asking of me. I've told Susan what I know. Other information I have, which is mostly opinion, I don't share with April, so I am not sure I should share it here except to say that I believe it to be labor intensive to package your own nuts. If you do it though, you have to be sure you have reliable scales, and I think the bags ought to be labeled with Braille and print labels. We didn't used to label them at all. Also, we have always had a few nuts left over at the end of the calendar year; last year though I think we made the mistake of ordering later than we should have and got caught with a lot of nuts. If you are keeping them for any length of time, they should really be kept under refrigeration, after two or three months, I'd say. Other than that, I honestly don't know much of anything as I was never nut chair. I do think that one should not have as many kinds as we sell at once, but that's just all a matter of opinion in your chapter.

Been selling here for the past 11-12 years, and sold when we were selling for Kansas in Lawrence; I think that this was the same company that they used when Dean Stanzel was nut sales chairman. Could be wrong about that. Never thought to say that to Susan when she asked.
