Hello!  As per our discussions per phone, it has been decided that we will
not have a  meeting this month due to low attendance.  I  will plan to
contact the manager next week regarding the availability

Of the materials regarding our fund-raiser on Thursday the 22nd.

I  hope everyone has a  wonderful weekend and we will plan to discuss the
picnic in June via email .

Rob, you could also remind them that the last day of on-line
pre-registration to the convention is May 31. Presidential release is 428
and is available. How do I know this? Because a spouse who will remain
nameless downloaded it and forgot to bring it to my chapter meeting last
week, and I was counting on it, too.

"I heard it through the grapevine" <smile> that attendance this Saturday
could be a bit sparce with Susan and myself being among the absent, as we
leave later today for a business trip to Nashville - yes, Music City USA!

Therefore, Athena will conduct the meeting as she has very ably done before.
Below are a few basic things that need to be covered.

. Presidential release if available

. Approval of April minutes

. Chapter treasurer's report

. Freddy's Fund-raising dinner night, May 22 from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm.
Unfortunately I've not received an electronic version of the coupon flyer
which I had hoped to pass along to disceminate via email. However, I was
assured by Kevin Ettian, a manager, that coupon flyers would be available at
Freddy's early in the week of the event. Perhaps someone could do a drop-by
and pick some up for handing out to your friends and acquaintances.

. Social Event. Decide if we want to have a social event, perhaps a picnic
in one of our local parks like we had last year. Saturday's in June are 6/7,
6/14, 6/21, and 6/28. If this makes a difference to anyone, the 28th is the
big day of the St. John's Parrish fiesta, but it will start in the late
afternoon hours. You may also want to determine what food items we furnish
out of treasury, and what will be by pot luck contribution.

. Last but not least, National convention comes up in July, so those who
plan on going need to get registered and reserve a hotel room at the Rosen
Center by no later than May 28. If anyone voices an intention to attend
national convention, the chapter should decide how much financial assistance
to provide to each attendee.

Athena, feel free to bring up any items you think I should have added to the
list. Cheryl, it would be much appreciated if you could bring the
presidential release. I'm sure this will be an excellent meeting and I'll
see you all in June.
