[Jayhawk-chapter] Request for action on motion to assist members to attend national convention

Good morning Pat and everyone,

I am responding to Pats question in regard to recusal on decisions on which a member has a financial or material interest in the outcome of a vote because I think a very important question has been raised. Absent a specific policy, A members decision to vote or to abstain from voting under  uch circumstancess is generally regarded as a matter of individual conscience. Accordingly, if an individual chooses to cast a vote and Lou of recusing or abstaining, such a vote will be recorded and counted in the final tally. Where way to and I act a policy requiring recusal or abstention, and would need to be done through a formal process such as an amendment to the constitution or by enacting a bylaw.

Last but not least, my notice of a vote which I posted yesterday challenges each and everyone of us to vote according to what we feel is best for the overall interest of the chapter and its assets, and I have unmitigated trust and confidence that everyone has followed this standard

I hope this exclamation clarifies the matter for everyone and that we are all at peace with it.
