Good Sunday morning Andrew and blind S.S.D.I. Wage Earners. I know
firsthand what happens to a blind S.S.D.I. Wage Earner when they proudly
give-up their S.S.D.I. for employment and they unfortunately need to have
their S.S.D.I. re-instated due to a job lay-off and/or other reasons since I
made the mistake of my life when I gave-up my S.S.D.I. for my employment I
was layed-off from a few years ago. When I needed to have my S.S.D.I.
re-instated I ended up having to ask my United States Congressman for help
with my very legitimate reinstatement of my S.S.D.I. after me proving I was
still blind to an approved S.S.D.I. Eye Dr. who didn't know a thing about me
or my rare hereditary eye disease. My Wife and I could have very easily
lost everything we had during the long and very stressful re-instatement
process of my S.S.D.I.. I learned my working while blind and
receiving/giving-up my S.S.D.I. lesson the hard way and I hope no blind
person ever has to go through what I went through because of my foolish
decision/honest mistake of giving -up my S.S.D.I. for employment. But, I
will be the happiest proud blind person ever who gave-up their S.S.D.I. for
employment if I land myself a job paying me $100,000.00 or more a year so
I'm able to afford to experience the horrific process of S.S.D.I.
re-instatement. I'm enjoying having the best attitude of my life right now
and I hope the stress I experienced during my S.S.D.I. re-instatement
doesn't take too many years off my life longevity!

Subject: [Job-Discussions] Pros and Cons of SSDI?

Potentially unpopular opinion which would like counter-facts please: SSDI
takes too much work to get on to and is far too easy to lose. Ergo, is it
really desirable to be on SSDI? On paper it seems not.

I would be especially interested in knowing what happens if you get onto
SSDI, and then either lose the job that allowed you to activate SSDI, or if
one is a gig worker who has their season end? What happens to the SSDI per
the rules?

Many thanks in advance

Andrew Harmon
