Hmm, very informative. I would wonder if an addendum to the note about the potential HR discord is when you are called in for an interview and without any warning before-hand you are told to do back-to-back interviews with someone higher up?

 

I had a couple of interviews, one with a sales company and the other with an actual hospital where this happened. Looking back on it, the one with the hospital required several months of continuous, almost repetitive attempts to talk to someone to get the interview scheduled and the comment shared with me was that the reason I got it was due to my persistence. I definitely didn’t get the interview, though it was more down to the behavior of the HR higher-up looking back on it, and I’m probably better off.

This is definitely a good thing to think about.  I had some of the things mentioned in here happen during a few of the jobs interviews I have had in the past few months,and needless to say, I moved on and am continuing job hunting.
