Hi All,
I have had two job offers with the federal government, within the past 3 months. However, I didn’t take either job because when I was offered the first, I had just been given a raise from my current employer. I did not take the 2nd because they were offering less, than what I’m currently making. The other reason was their higher cost for health insurance.
I have lots of experience in different areas, so I am praying that this continues, in terms of employment offers; however, can anyone confirm whether dependents are no longer insured, after age 22?
I have an 18-year-old son who is about to leave for college. I work for my state, and they will insure him until age 26. However, I have heard several times now that federal employees can only insure dependents, until age 22?
Does anyone have confirmation of this?
Thanks.
Claudia
