You are right that’s some fields you cannot use a I R a yet. The medical field is one of them. Because of HIPPA, you can’t use it. But they are working on becoming HIPPA compliant. This is someone speaking here that has worked in the medical field before electronic medical records. It was I admit much easier to be adaptable especially since I am Low Vision and could use magnifiers and lighting and things. It is tougher now.
