This position will play a critical role in contributing to a positive employee experience at the Department of Revenue. The HR Director 1 will provide agency wide human resources management leadership to managers and supervisor and the Human Resources Management Director by managing the Staffing and Transactions function.

Key responsibility includes:

  *   Managing the full cycle recruitment and staffing process with specific focus on customer satisfaction, process improvement, leveraging best practices, reporting along with more traditional functions of state classification, compensation, FLSA status and determination, and all background check and pre-employment checks.
  *   Lead and oversee all HR transactions, onboarding, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, state statutes, administrative procedures and rules, collective bargaining agreements, and delegation of authority.
  *   Provide planning, strategic talent planning and HR business partnership and consultation to all business partners, and other HR process management services to ensure a comprehensive and efficient HR function for Revenue.
  *   Partner with HR leadership on employee experience initiatives and improve employee engagement and retention
  *   Promote, support, and advance Revenue's diversity and inclusion strategic plan and Revenue's strategic plan.
