This list is sponsored by the National Federation of the Blind, NFB, and the Employment Committee of the NFB. This is the "Job-Listings" listserv. It is an announce-only list for the distribution of available jobs that may be of interest to blind, >low vision or deaf-blind persons. It is also available to professionals >who work with blind, low vision, and deaf-blind persons. It may not be used for other disability groups. The job listings are provided for your information and use. Most employers who post to this list are pre-screened by members of the Employment Committee for willingness and ability to hire blind people. However, we cannot make the same assurances for jobs posted by individual list members. We are not able to pre-screen each listing to verify that all links work or that sites are completely accessible. If you run into major accessibility problems, you are welcome to report them to Dick Davis at dickblind@gmail.com or Valerie Yingling of the NFB Legal Department at vyingling@nfb.org. The NFB monitors job sites for accessibility. From time to time informational messages about the National Federation of the Blind and its activities generated by the NFB may be distributed to the members of all lists, including this one. This list is not to be used for job-related discussions. There is a separate list for that. To post a message to all the list members, send email to job-listings@nfbnet.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Job-Listings
Subscribe to Job-Listings by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
