St. Michael Albertville Schools is hiring a Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired for the '21-'22 school year. The district serves over 6,000 students and employs 800 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.  We also have a comprehensive and inclusive PreK program. Uniquely, we are transitioning to independent provision of a total special education system after many years of cooperative membership with smaller surrounding districts. New programs are being developed to serve the disability needs of children and students ages birth through 21. We have an exciting combination of experienced and new special educators with a passion for developing creative and effective programming. STMA strives to be a local employer of choice and a destination district to work and build a career.
