DHS is looking for a leader for the Classification Team (Human Services Supervisor 3 - 21K) to provide agency-wide leadership to managers and supervisors with a focus on organizational analysis, strategic planning, and job evaluation. You will work closely with the Strategic Talent Acquisition Team (STAT) and Labor Relations team members to provide full service human resources support.

In addition to supervising the Class Team of 5 professionals, you will:
*        coordinate strategic classification services for DHS, by providing expertise, conducting studies, leveraging best practices, and process improvement;
*        develop and provide training to DHS managers, supervisors, and staff on classification and staffing related topics;
*        promote, support, and advance DHS' diversity and inclusion strategic plan;
*        and other related HR duties :).

We are looking for an advanced HR professional with 4 years of experience with a focus on job classification. Experience must demonstrate:

  *   Expertise in conducting job audits at all levels (clerical, technical/para-professional, professional, supervisory, managerial);
  *   Knowledge of the Hay method of job evaluation;
  *   Providing guidance to agency managers and supervisors on HR issues;
  *   Strategic workforce planning;
  *   Knowledge of vacancy filling, developing minimum qualifications, and determining appropriate compensation.

This position is currently telework. Post pandemic, telework is an available option for this position.
