The City of Brooklyn Park is looking for an inspiring, collaborative Human Resources leader with a proven ability and commitment to racial equity, diversity and inclusion. This person contributes to the City leadership team's focus on ensuring Brooklyn Park is a great place to work for all of our 400+ regular employees and 225+ seasonal employees.
The Human Resources Manager position is an administrative-level, working-manager position responsible for the development, implementation, and direction of Human Resources and Risk Management/Loss Control programs in a public sector environment.
This position provides overall direction and supervision to all areas of policy administration, recruitment, selection and retention; employee compensation and benefits; job classification/pay equity; employment and labor laws; employee performance; training and development; worker's compensation; and safety.
The Human Resources Manager works independently under the general direction and supervision of the Assistant City Manager and manages a team of six.
