This position provides professional Human Resources services in job analysis and job classification, recruitment and selection, and compensation for the Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis. This position will monitor transactional processes and provides Human Resources assistance on various special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  *   Two (2) years of professional human resources experience

OR

  *   A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (or a closely related field) and one year of professional Human Resources experience

In addition qualified candidates must demonstrate the following:

  *   Analytical skills sufficient to evaluate complex information, perform research, conduct and document job analyses and make job classification recommendations
  *   Experience administering hiring processes
  *   Experience developing and applying assessment and selection criteria, such as minimum and preferred qualifications, and structured interview questions and scored anchors
  *   Strong computer skills including experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
  *   Decision making skills with the ability to evaluate complex information, research options and responses
  *   Ability to interpret employment laws, rules, administrative procedures, and collective bargaining agreements sufficient to ensure consistent and compliant practices
  *   Ability to provide work direction and prioritize a comprehensive workload in a fast-paced environment
