The Department of Corrections is filling up to four (4) Regional Human Resources Consultant positions.  Each Consultant will provide high level professional services to an assigned Department of Corrections Facility or regional area.  Applicants may primarily telework but should expect to perform some work within their assigned Correctional Facility/Region, as such some travel within Minnesota may be required.

In these positions you will provide HR leadership and contribute to the advancement of the DOC's mission and objectives by performing a variety of advanced professional personnel management functions and services. You will serve as a business partner with executive management, directors, supervisors and managers, outside agency partners and with labor union representatives and leaders.  You will be responsible for consulting, advising and recommending solutions to employees and management on a range of employee relations matters such as:

  *   Performance management
  *   Labor Relations
  *   Bargaining unit contract, legal, and policy compliance
  *   Conducting investigations and responding to grievances
  *   Developing and leading HR trainings
