Greetings from your HRSD Talent Acquisition Team.

HRSD's promise is to "Treat waste water and recover natural resources to protect public health and the environment" . We also are a people centered, learning organization with solid career paths.



  *   It is internship season at HRSD. Do you know or are working with a college student looking for a paid internship? Internships are great  to gain experience and learn about the organization. Internships can often translate in to a full time job.  We currently have 5 different opportunities posted.
There are currently openings in Engineering, Asset Management, Air Quality, Water Quality and Marina / Boater Pump out. We have a solid track record of hiring and retaining interns who come through the program.


  *   We have openings for Heavy Equipment Operators in the Norfolk and Virginia Beach Area to support and work along side our Interceptor teams on the front lines of pump station maintenance and responding to line breaks and emergencies.


  *   We have a need for an Engineering Project Manager In the Newport News Hampton area to Manager large scale civil engineering projects from Design to Implementation.


  *   We need Utility Maintenance Technicians ( Interceptor Technicians ) to complete maintenance in the field, cover territory, complete apprenticeship and serve as the front lines for waste water treatment . This is one of our apprenticeship programs where someone can come on board and get paid to learn and take class heading toward their storm water license and a career path.


  *   We also have a wide range of open positions in different areas.
