The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team to supervise staff providing recruitment and employee engagement services that influence and shape the applicant and employee experience. The agency has just under 1,000 employees with a growing HR team of highly skilled HR professionals.

This leadership position will oversee the delivery of recruitment services for the MPCA; provide direction to staff coordinating campus recruitment and talent pipeline programs; manage employee engagement and retention projects; and provide oversight and direction to staff responsible for personnel transactions, benefits administration, FMLA and Workers' Compensation processing.

We seek candidates with leadership experience acquired through supervisory, project management, lead work, or other positions and training demonstrating leadership competencies; and 3 years professional experience in talent acquisition to include recruitment, candidate sourcing, and selection; with knowledge of the state human resources system, state contracts and plans, and personnel related laws and policies.

This position is located in our St. Paul office. Position duties require some travel. This position will have the flexibility to telework and may be expected to work in the office on occasion.  This is a temporary unclassified opportunity anticipated to last through October 2026.
