The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is seeking an individual to join our Human Resources (HR) team as a business partner to assist in building and developing our Central Office team.

As a HR Business Partner you would:

  *   Coordinate and complete full-cycle recruitment and staffing processes in collaboration with hiring supervisors, HR staff and others;
  *   Research, analyze and document requests to establish new positions and re-classify vacant and occupied positions, in accordance with established job classification policies and procedures;
  *   Advise managers, supervisors and employees on a wide range of employment laws and policies to ensure consistency and compliance; and
  *   Oversee and process employee and position transactions, as needed, in the State Employee Management System (SEMA4) and provide backup support and guidance to the HR Technician in the areas of employee insurance benefits, workers' compensation, and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration.
