Assist the Deputy General Counsel in providing leadership and legal expertise to support the Department's compliance with state and federal laws.

Supervise and manage a team of attorneys including the hiring and evaluation of the performance of assigned staff. Assist the Deputy General Counsel in coordinating and managing legal work throughout the Department. Conduct legal research, writing and analysis, and provide legal advice to the Department on a variety of complex legal issues. Coordinate and consult with the Minnesota Attorney General's Office regarding the Department's legal disputes and litigation. Manage the development of and/or provide legal training on a variety of topics to Department staff. Assume the duties of the Deputy General Counsel in case of absence.
