Hi all, I'm sharing this from our friends at JBI (Jewish Braille Institute)

JBI Head Librarian Position Opening

About Us

Founded in 1931 as The Jewish Braille Institute, JBI is a nonprofit organization committed to servicing people of all ages and backgrounds who are blind, have low vision, or are print disabled by providing access to texts vital to Jewish culture, heritage, education, religious life, and community. Through a vast circulating library, liturgical texts, customized materials, and cultural offerings, JBI enables our patrons to connect to the rich literary, cultural, and religious life of the Jewish community. We create, publish, and distribute thousands of Jewish-interest materials in audio, braille, and large print that are provided free of charge and sent directly to our patrons' doorsteps.

JBI is committed to increasing accessibility and inclusion and meeting each of its patrons’ needs, whether they are an individual born with vision impairment or someone adjusting to vision loss later in life. In all cases our goal is to ensure they can fully participate in all aspects of Jewish life and feel connected to their heritage, culture, and community. In addition to serving individuals directly, we also provide materials to groups and organizations to help them meet the accessibility needs of their communities.
