BISM's Internship Program
We at Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) are very eager to offer a new internship opportunity! The BISM Internship Program offers an opportunity to promote real-world experience and mentoring in a supportive environment. In-person internships are available for fall, spring, and summer for approximately 3 to 4 months.

Interns will have an opportunity to explore a variety of fields, some of which might include: technology, management, teaching, human resources, and marketing, among others. This opportunity is available for prospective and current college students, recent graduates, and adults undergoing career exploration. BISM will work with interns to offer a customizable work experience centered around the intern's areas of interest. This is a paid internship opportunity with housing options available.

We are looking for applicants who:

  *   Are comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel, or willing to learn
  *   Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  *   Take initiative appropriately and apply problem-solving skills
  *   Are prompt and professional
  *   Are able to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  *   Feel comfortable working both independently and as a team member
  *   Are passionate about changing what it means to be blind
  *   Exhibit a positive attitude
  *   Are self-driven, eager to learn, and want to be challenged
