Stanford University is excited to announce immediate openings for Alternate
Format Specialists in the Office of Accessible Education (OAE).

 

The mission of OAE is to promote an accessible and inclusive environment for
all students with disabilities. Through both academic and housing
accommodations, we work to mitigate physical and attitudinal barriers that
students might face. We are dedicated to supporting students with
disabilities, so they have access to perform at their academic potential. We
also strive to promote the inclusive environment they need to experience
full membership in our diverse Stanford community.

 

As a member of our Alternate Format Production team, you'll play a pivotal
role in supporting blind and low-vision students by converting essential
course materials-such as lecture slides, problem sets, readings, and
textbooks-into accessible formats. You'll work across a diverse range of
subjects, from American Literature and Physics to Musicology, ensuring that
all students have equal access to their education. We're looking for
passionate, dedicated individuals who are committed to accessibility, thrive
on creative problem-solving, and excel in fast-paced, dynamic team
