The Kentucky Talking Book Library is hiring! We are looking to fill two Librarian I positions.  These positions will offer readers advisory, manage patrons accounts, provide virtual and in-person programming and conduct outreach.  The schedule is 8:00 to 4:30, Monday-Friday, with potential for 1 work from home day per week. The Kentucky Talking Book Library is in Frankfort and is a branch of the Department for Libraries and Archives. A Master’s in Library Science is required. This position will provide service to our youth patrons, age 0-18, preschools and K-12 schools. This position will provide service to residents and administrators at our facilities such as senior centers, assisted living facilities, the Veterans Administration, and correctional facilities.

This position requires in-depth knowledge of recording software, project management processes, and audio recording studio equipment.  The ideal candidate will possess the technical skills as well as the ability to work with our volunteer narrators, monitors, and proofreaders.  A bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field and one year experience in AV production are required.  The schedule is 8:00-4:30, Monday-Friday, and is fully in-office at our Frankfort location in the Department for Libraries and Archives.
