While being CATIS certified is a preferred qualification, an applicant must have the following experience and/or education: 

Experience Only:

Six (6) years of relevant experience in providing training and/or education to individuals with visual impairments in assistive technology

OR

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education (must be progress towards a degree) in Assistive Technology for Visual Impairment, Teacher of the Visually Impaired, Vision Rehabilitation Therapy, Orientation and Mobility or a closely related degree and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned (as stated above) equal to six (6) years.
