As a Labor Relations Consultant for Minnesota IT Services, you will contribute to the advancement of the agency's mission, vision, and objectives by performing a variety of advanced professional personnel management functions and services. This position provides assistance to the Labor Relations Manager, and the Human Resources Director to administer the functional responsibilities of the department to include:

  *   Consult, advise and recommend customer-centric, value-added solutions to employees and management on a range of employee relations matters including performance management, contractual issues, and policy compliance, complaint and grievance handling, and employment investigations.
  *   Regularly track, document, and utilize case management system to manage employee relations incidents and activities.
  *   Participate in research and analysis of information to create, revise, and/or implement employment policies and procedures.
  *   Ensure application of personnel rules, contract language, compensation plans, state and federal laws, MN statutes, and all required rules, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  *   Prepare and conduct training on employment laws and various human resource related areas.
  *   Develop and maintain relationships with executive management, managers, and supervisors, outside agency partners, and with labor union leadership.
