The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Classification & Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources Classification Team. This role supports DHS's classification and compensation systems through job evaluations, strategic consultation, and workforce planning.

You'll be part of a team of skilled analysts and consultants who shape the agency's workforce through thoughtful job evaluation, strategic insight, and classification expertise. In this role, you'll help ensure fair, competitive, and well-aligned job classifications across the organization.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you will:

  *   Conduct job evaluations and position audits to determine accurate and equitable classification
  *   Write formal classification determinations
  *   Contribute to job classification studies, Hay evaluations, and strategic workforce initiatives
  *   Consult with managers and HR partners on classification strategy and workforce planning
  *   Analyze organizational structures and evolving program needs to inform classification decisions

  *   Expertise in research, analysis, and synthesizing complex information
  *   Strong communication skills to explain job audit results and classification decisions
  *   Ability to build collaborative relationships with managers and HR colleagues
  *   Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic alignment
