This position provides technical support to the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) Human Resources (HR) Office and the Public Facilities Authority (PFA). This includes processing personnel transactions in the Statewide Employee Management system (SEMA4), providing technical support and assistance to agency staff, providing general support to HR staff, and maintaining electronic personnel records in Laserfiche, the electronic document management system (EDMS). This position will have Designated Department Insurance Representative (DDIR) responsibilities for DEED and provide employees with benefits and retirement information. Additionally, this position backs up the HR leave coordinators and other transactions specialists in the department. Job duties are done in accordance and compliance with applicable contracts, plans, laws, statutes, and policies and procedures.



Responsibilities include:
*        Process timely and accurate personnel transactions in the State's personnel/payroll system (SEMA4).
*        Serve as a Designated Department Insurance Representative (DDIR), providing benefits information to employees.
*        Serve as a Retirement Coordinator, working through the retirement process with employees.
*        Perform general administrative activities and electronic document filing.
*        Provide support and assistance to staff and customers on personnel issues.
*        Advise managers, supervisors, and employees on various human resources inquiries.
